About this design
Inspired by the print titled Cowrie taken by my husband underwater photographer Glen Cowans

The delightful pattern of spots on this "little egg cowrie" is not the shell, for that is pure white, instead it is the surface pattern of the tiny creature that lives within the shell. This is the paper-thin mantle, the portion of its body that actually rises up and covers the outside of the shell and in doing so, both polishes the shell smooth and protects it from scratches. Making these shells true jewels of the Ocean.

Round glass set into stainless steel bezels encapsulating the image.
The hooks are stainless steel which is perfect for sensitive ears.

Jewellery Care:

I want you to be able to keep your pieces for as long as possible! 

I have carefully sealed the front and back of the image to ensure that it is water resistant. It will be OK if you get caught in the rain, but please avoid submerging it when swimming or bathing.
